Tuition Assistance and ESAs

Education Savings Accounts (ESA's)

On January 24, 2023, Governor Kim Reynolds signed the Students First Act into law. This law creates Educational Savings Accounts (ESAs) for eligible K-12 students attending an accredited non-public school. This includes CICS! 

 

Eligibility for the ESA's is being rolled out over a 3-year period, which begins this coming school year, 2023-2024. It will provide $7,598 for each qualifying student. For the first year, all incoming kindergarten students, all new students transferring from public schools, and all current students whose household income is at or below 300% poverty level qualify. The following year, 2024-2024, all current students household income is at or below 400% will additionally qualify. By the third year, ALL CICS STUDENTS will qualify. Applications for ESA's will open on MAY 31 and must be submitted by JUNE 30.
