MULTI-GRADE CLASSROOMS

Classrooms are currently split into kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade. Multi-grade classrooms allow younger students to look up to and learn from older students and older students to lead and be role-models for younger students.

Math, reading and writing are split into individualized, small groups based on students' needs rather than their year in school. This allows teachers to meet students where they are.

KINDERGARTEN TO
8TH GRADE

Students receive direct instruction in individualized ability groupings, and Central Iowa Christian School prides itself on its whole-school, K-8, culture.

"My favorite thing about CICS is the students! They are so sweet and loving toward each other, and really seem to genuinely care about each other.  To me, that exemplifies the values that they've learned from their teachers."

Victoria Osera, parent of CICS student
